Dr. Andrew Word is a Board Certified Dermatologist who is Texas-born, raised, and trained. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine and Dermatology Residency training at UT Southwestern.  

 

During his time in Dermatology Residency at UT Southwestern, Dr. Word served as Chief Resident and served the people of Dallas-Fort Worth at Parkland, Clements, Children’s, and Veteran Affairs hospitals.

Currently, in addition to his work at Word Dermatology, Dr. Word is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Dermatology at UT Southwestern. He teaches medical students and residents at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Hospital. He is on medical staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie. Dr. Word is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
